A festival of all things handmade

Highlights 2011

It’s difficult to choose the stand out highlights as the whole event had so many enjoyable, creative and exciting aspects.

Anyone who attended HANDMADE 2011 will have their own favourites but we think that the people that were gathered all with a common interest in exploring or extending their HANDMADE potential and the buzz that creates was the overall highlight.

On the Saturday night the experts of the HANDMADE programme got together to showcase the items they make to expert quality and sold them at the Meet the Makers Party. The opportunity to talk to the HANDMADE makers about what they do and what they make, buying direct from them while enjoying a glass of wine and delicious cheese with new and old friends was another high point for many.

Many enjoyed sharing the HANDMADE experience with good friends, family or the chance to have some time on their own to experience craft they’ve always wanted to learn.

Although much of the event will remain unchanged, we left HANDMADE 2011 bursting with great ideas to develop further in 2012. By refreshing the activities and always refining this great concept we will continue to bring a fresh and exciting to you event each year.
